Andy Carroll has vowed to make his romance with Lou Teasdale work after their turbulent split, insisting he is determined to save the relationship.
The former England striker, who recently returned to English football with Dagenham & Redbridge, confirmed he's back with Lou after what he described as a misunderstanding during a trip to Spain.
Speaking to The Sun, Carroll was open about his feelings for the celebrity stylist.

“I love Lou and I love her family. We row like any couple,” he admitted.

|“We’re better off together and we’re trying to work through our difficulties.”
Carroll, 36, began dating Lou last year after separating from ex-wife and former Towie star Billi Mucklow, 37, with whom he shares three children.
Their divorce proceedings are ongoing, adding further strain to his private life.
He acknowledged the challenges of balancing personal turmoil with a high-profile career.

“Things have been difficult for me and I’m going through a divorce,” he said.
One source of friction between Carroll and Lou has been his drinking habits. While she has been teetotal for more than 14 years, Carroll admitted he still enjoys a drink after matches or with dinner.
“Some of our rows have been about alcohol,” he explained.
“I have a beer or wine at dinner and a drink after the game, but it’s not a problem in my life.

Their relationship hit headlines earlier this summer when Carroll was twice questioned by police following disputes with Teasdale while holidaying in Mykonos.
The incidents – one in a busy beachfront restaurant and another at their hotel – saw local officers intervene, although no arrests were made.
In a joint statement at the time, the couple sought to downplay the episodes: “Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion.
"It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there.”
They added: “As far as we are concerned, the situation has been blown out of all proportion by an interested member of the public.
"No one was arrested and no one was charged with anything. We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together.”
Carroll has since returned to Essex, closer to his children, after leaving French side Bordeaux.

“I just want to focus on my kids,” he said. “They’re more important than anything.
"I’m loving life back in England. Obviously when I was working in France, I was there alone, and I was out with the lads a lot.
"Now I’m back home with the kids and it’s just a different way of life.”
