Alan Shearer believes England boss Thomas Tuchel should leave Jude Bellingham on the bench for his side's opening World Cup match with Croatia on June 17.
The Three Lions have today jetted out to North America as they look to win a first major trophy since 1966.
Bellingham has made the squad, with the England star previously outstanding at the 2024 European Championships in Germany.
He has also enhanced his reputation in the time since, having continued to be a key player for Real Madrid.
While Bellingham's quality is unquestionable, however, his attitude has raised eyebrows in the past.
Tuchel previously said his own mother had grievances with the former Birmingham City and Borussia Dortmund star, while Bellingham cut a petulant figure in November after being withdrawn against Albania.
Morgan Rogers' stature has grown considerably, to such an extent that the Aston Villa star could even start in Bellingham's position.

And Shearer, speaking to the Daily Mail, thinks Tuchel should drop Bellingham to the bench in a move that would undoubtedly be controversial.
"Jude Bellingham doesn’t start the first game for me," said the former Three Lions star.
"I think Thomas will go with what has done well for him in England games: (Elliot) Anderson and (Declan) Rice (at the base of midfield), and then Morgan Rogers ahead of them.

England have, in the past, attempted to play with all of their world-class players. However, much to the dismay of supporters, that's meant the right system and tactics have been left on the backburner.
One player who is undroppable is captain Harry Kane. The Bayern Munich star bagged 61 goals for the Bundesliga titans last term, from just 51 games.
Shearer thinks that, if England are to finally end their wait for a second World Cup trophy, then Kane will hold the key.
"We didn’t see the best of Harry Kane in the last tournament a couple of years ago and I think to get the best out of Harry, as we’ve seen in that Bayern Munich team this season, you need players running past him and getting beyond him," continued the pundit.
"He is brilliant at coming deep to get the ball and then playing those passes himself, but you have to have players going beyond him, and we didn’t quite have that.

"If England are going to do well in this tournament, they have to get the best out of Harry."
England made considerable progress at major tournaments under Gareth Southgate.
They made two Euros finals, as well as the semi-finals and quarter-finals of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, but still came up short when it mattered most.
This time around, the Three Lions will do battle with Croatia, Ghana and Panama in the group stages. How they fare, and whether the golden trophy finally comes home, remains to be seen.
