The dog is part of the Ramsey household alongside their three sons — Sonny, and twins Tomas and Teddy — who have also been devastated by the loss.
Ramsey, who joined Mexican side Pumas UNAM in July, has been settling into life in Central America following his departure from Cardiff City last season.
Speaking at the time of his move, the midfielder said he was drawn to the club’s ambition and the quality of the Mexican league.
“I’ve played with some players who understand the Mexican league and had conversations with them,” he said.
“This league is very technical. Great players have been produced, and the national team is very good. I’ve played for some of the best teams in the world and there’s always an expectation to win — I’m sure it’s no different here.”
He added that he was relishing the challenge: “I’ve spent a period of my career without winning things, but managed to overcome that and win, so I know what this club is capable of.

Pumas have made a mixed start to the Liga MX campaign, sitting 12th in the table, but Ramsey’s focus in recent weeks has been consumed by the search for Halo.
Friends, teammates, and fans continue to share posts in support of the player, whose heartfelt message this week underscored the emotional toll the loss has taken.
Ramsey remains hopeful that the family’s loyal companion will be found, telling friends he has not given up faith that Halo will one day make it home.
