The former Haas driver may be returning to the grid for 2026

Michael Schumacher’s son, Mick, is set to return to F1 after being ousted by Haas.

The 25-year-old originally joined F1 back in 2021 with the small team, after winning the F2 championship in 2020.

His time in F1 was marked with issues, as not only was he driving the slowest car on the grid, but both he and his teammate Nikita Mazepin had a lot of crashes.

This led to team principal Gunther Steiner taking the decision to axe him at the end of the 2022 season.

There is a lot for Cadillac to consider before they roll off for pre-season testing next year.

Should Bottas lose out on a seat, there may be one more option for him. Franco Colapinto is currently racing for Alpine, but there are many questions over where his future may be.

Should the Enstone-based team decide to look in a new direction, the fan favourite may return to the F1 grid.
