Former England football captain Paul Ince has been banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £7,085 after admitting to drink-driving at Chester Magistrates' Court.
The 57-year-old pleaded guilty to the charge following an incident in Cheshire last month.
The incident occurred on Chester High Road in Neston on Saturday June 28.
Police were called to the scene after Ince's Range Rover collided with a central reservation barrier.

The former footballer was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with drink-driving.
The crash occurred near Heswall Golf Club, a venue where the former footballer had previously posted photographs on Instagram.
In addition to the driving ban, District Judge Jack McGarva ordered Ince to pay the fine. The judge delivered a stern warning to the former footballer, stating: "The message has got to be if you're going to drive you don't drink at all."
Despite the serious nature of the proceedings, Ince appeared relaxed upon arriving at court. He signed an autograph for one fan and posed for a selfie with another supporter outside the courthouse.
