Piastri showcased remarkable skill as he navigated from fourth on the grid to claim the top spot.
George Russell rounded out the podium with a third-place finish for Mercedes, whilst Max Verstappen had to settle for fourth position.
Piastri's decisive moment came on lap 14 when he hunted down race leader Verstappen with clear determination.
The Australian made his move at Turn One, forcing the Dutchman deep on the brakes to take a lead he would never relinquish.
From that point onwards, Piastri controlled the race with remarkable composure.
His flawless drive demonstrated why he has become such a formidable force in the 2025 championship battle.
The victory marks another significant milestone in McLaren's resurgence this season.
The battle between Verstappen and Norris ignited immediately at the start of the race with fierce wheel-to-wheel action into the opening corner.
Verstappen's aggressive defensive driving saw him shove his British rival wide, causing Norris to lose four positions in the process.
Undeterred, Norris quickly recovered, overtaking both Mercedes cars of Antonelli and Russell to rejoin the fight at the front.
The intense rivalry between the two drivers provided spectacular entertainment throughout the Grand Prix.
Pierre Gasly finished outside of the top ten, meaning any penalty is unlikely to have much of an impact

Despite the thrilling on-track action, the Miami Grand Prix classification remains provisional as two drivers have been summoned to the stewards.
Sainz and Gasly, who had already started from the pit lane, are facing punishment from Miami stewards.
Three virtual safety cars were deployed throughout the Grand Prix for mechanical-related retirements.
During these neutralised periods, all drivers were required to follow a specific time delta.
However, both Sainz and Gasly are suspected of failing to properly slow under the yellow flags.

Sainz finished the race in ninth position, securing two points for Williams.
While the Spaniard could face a time penalty for any confirmed infringement, his points may remain safe.
He crossed the line 14 seconds ahead of Yuki Tsunoda, potentially providing enough buffer to maintain his position even with a penalty.
Gasly, meanwhile, finished in 13th place and outside the points.
Any penalty for the Frenchman would therefore have minimal impact on the final classification.
The stewards' decision could still alter the official results in the coming hours.
