Lewis Hamilton has opened up on choosing racing over his love life, as he values his career in Formula One above anything else.
Hamilton has not gone public with a girlfriend since his relationship with Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger.
The relationship between the two lasted over seven years, but it appeared on and off until they finally called it quits in 2015.
Since then, the 40-year-old has kept his cards close to his chest. Any relationships he may have been in are unclear and, since the breakup with Scherzinger, Hamilton has won four of his seven Formula One titles.

“I don’t want to have any regrets, or think that I could have given more.

“Over the last ten years, I’ve concentrated on my performance. And when I retire, I’ll be able to do what I want.”
Hamilton's relentless pursuit of performance has been a major factor in the success of the Briton, but he will not focus on anything besides the sport until he retires.
He continued: “I’ll be able to devote myself to other things without constraints. As long as I’m competing, I’m concentrating on my health, my well-being, my mental health, and my driving technique.
“I want to be the best engineer I can be and the best team-mate too. That’s my main objective: I want to win.

Hamilton’s start to life at Ferrari has not been the easiest, with the Briton yet to get on the podium. He recently had an extremely difficult weekend in Belgium, going out in Q1 in both the sprint and main qualifying sessions, before recovering to finish seventh in the race.
The seven-time champion will be hoping for a better weekend in Hungary this week, as he holds the record for the most poles with nine at the Hungaroring, with eight wins to his name as well.
