Luke Littler twice broke the tournament record for the highest average ever seen at the Czech Darts Open.

Luke Littler has been advised to stick with the same darts he used at the Czech Darts Open after ditching his new arrows for the tournament in Prague.

The teenager changed his darts a few weeks ago and appeared to struggle to find his best form with them.

Fans were keen to see Littler make the switch back to his more successful darts and he obliged at the weekend for the Czech Darts Open.

The switch had an immediate impact as Littler broke the tournament record for the highest average in his opening round match against Nathan Aspinall.

And he smashed the record once more the following day against Damon Heta with an incredible average of 116.51 to reach the quarter-final.

Littler continued to impress with a resounding 6-1 win over Michael van Gerwen to set up a semi-final clash with Luke Humphries.

But the world No 1 proved one step too far for Littler as Humphries stopped the 17-year-old in his tracks before clinching the title in a one-sided final.

Littler wasn't too disheartened after his loss as he took to social media to celebrate his record-breaking weekend.

"Great weekend breaking more records and back to what I know best," Littler wrote.

"Back to it next week see you all in Dortmund."

Littler will be making his European Championship debut this weekend in Germany and his fans are keen for him not to change his arrows once again.

One message read: "Defo stick with them dart. Outstanding averages tonight."

Another posted: "You definitely have to keep those darts don’t switch back to the gold ones the pixel are the ones."

A third said: "You deffo need to stick with those darts mate, you’re scoring some out of this world average with those little beauties!"

One other urged: "Stop using new darts!"

Another wrote: "Well done mate you played better with the old darts."
