Tyson Fury and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are exploring a stunning joint bid to buy Morecambe, with plans already being discussed for a Netflix documentary inspired by the success of Ryan Reynolds' takeover of Wrexham.
The two sporting icons were together in Warsaw earlier this week filming a World Cup commercial when talks over a potential move into football ownership intensified.
According to The Sun, Fury pitched the idea of purchasing his hometown club to former Manchester United striker Ibrahimovic during the trip.
A source claimed the pair are eager to replicate the fairytale rise enjoyed by Wrexham following Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's high-profile takeover in 2021.
"They want to buy the club and make a Netflix documentary called Rise of Morecambe together," the source said.
"Just like Ryan Reynolds did with Wrexham."
The project would represent a major new venture for both men, who have remained close friends for years.
Ibrahimovic previously trained alongside Fury during his time in Manchester, with the Swedish legend regularly visiting the heavyweight champion's gym.

Fury already has deep links to Morecambe.
The former world heavyweight champion purchased a two-storey gym complex at the club's Mazuma Stadium in 2020, with the site also serving as headquarters for the Tyson Fury Foundation.
His "Gypsy King" brand has previously sponsored the club, and Fury has spoken openly in the past about wanting to support the local community.

Morecambe have endured difficult times in recent years, making the prospect of celebrity-backed investment hugely attractive for supporters.
The Wrexham comparison is impossible to ignore.
Since Reynolds and McElhenney completed their takeover, the Welsh side have secured three successive promotions while gaining worldwide attention through the Emmy-winning Disney+ series Welcome to Wrexham.
Fury and Ibrahimovic are now seemingly hoping lightning can strike twice.
The pair also sparked confusion this week after appearing to announce a boxing match against one another in Dublin on August 1.

However, the post is believed to have been a joke, with no official announcement made by Fury's camp or promoter Frank Warren.
Fury has already hinted that "big news" is on the way after sharing a photo alongside manager Spencer Brown outside a private jet earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic, who retired from football in 2023 after spells with clubs including Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan, is preparing to work as a World Cup pundit for Fox Sports in the United States.
