Luke Humphries secured a magnificent triumph at Madison Square Garden on Saturday evening, defeating fellow Englishman Nathan Aspinall 8-6 to claim the US Darts Masters title.
The world No1 delivered a commanding performance in New York's iconic venue to add another major honour to his remarkable 2025 campaign.
The 30-year-old from Newbury dropped to his knees in celebration after landing the winning double eight in front of a record-breaking North American crowd of 4,000 spectators.
The victory marks Humphries' second success on the PDC's World Series of Darts circuit this year and represents another significant milestone during his stellar season.
He wrote on X: "Chuffed to bits to come away from New York with the title!

Humphries' path to glory began with a first-round defeat of American Stowe Buntz on Friday, before dismantling Danny Lauby 6-2 in Saturday's quarter-finals.
The Englishman then produced a masterful display against Welshman Gerwyn Price, reeling off five consecutive legs from 2-2 to secure a commanding 7-2 semi-final victory.
Aspinall's journey proved equally impressive, having overcome top-ranked Canadian Matt Campbell in Friday's opening round.

The 2019 US Darts Masters champion then delivered a stunning quarter-final performance, averaging 106 to defeat world champion Luke Littler 6-4, despite the teenager's remarkable 109 average.
The world No6 maintained his momentum with a 7-3 semi-final victory over Australian Damon Heta.
The final proved a gripping encounter, with Aspinall mounting a spirited comeback after falling 3-0 behind.

The 33-year-old levelled proceedings at 5-5 with a clutch 90 finish on the bullseye, demonstrating the grit that has become his trademark.
Humphries responded in style with a spectacular 142 checkout to edge ahead once more.
The pivotal moment arrived when Aspinall missed two crucial darts to level at 7-7, allowing the world No1 to capitalise.

Humphries held his nerve in the decisive leg, eventually sealing victory with a double eight to spark emotional scenes at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
After his triumph, Humphries said: "This is the most iconic venue that we play in, and it's really special to win this event.
"It's one of the top venues in the world, and it's one I've always dreamed of winning. When I finally won, it was an amazing relief."
The triumph adds to Humphries' World Masters and Premier League victories this year, further cementing his status as the sport's dominant force.
After the final, Aspinall praised the atmosphere and his opponent: "The crowd were unbelievable again.
"Luke [Humphries] saved his best performance for the last game; that's why he's world number one and the best player in the world."
