Emma Raducanu has opened up on where she stands with Carlos Alcaraz after it was announced that they would be teaming up at the US Open later this summer.
The Briton and the World No2 are both sponsored by Evian, and they spent Friday together at the All England Club to promote the brand.
Ahead of starting her Wimbledon campaign, Raducanu was asked whether any of Alcaraz romance rumours were true, and she gave a very direct answer:
“We're just good friends,” the British No1 smiled before her pre-tournament press conference concluded. “What a way to wrap up,” she added.

The question came after they were seen walking around the All England Club and filming together on one of the courts.
Raducanu said: "No, it was fun yesterday. We were both on court with Evian. Yeah, we were just getting some volley practice in ahead of New York. Yeah, I'm really happy obviously to be playing with him. Yeah, we had a good time yesterday."

Raducanu is gearing up to have an all-English first round tie as she faces teenage wildcard Mimi Xu, however, she has kept her expectations for this year low.
She explained: "Truthfully, I don't expect much from myself this year. I know I've just been dealing with certain things. I just want to go out there and embrace the moment. I want to embrace the occasion.

Emma Raducanu has been facing back issues throughout the grass court season
PA"I know there's not many opportunities to be playing at Wimbledon. You get it once a year and for a finite amount of time. I'm just looking forward to going out there and feeling the surroundings and the atmosphere."
The British No1 has been dealing with back issues throughout the grass court season.
Those back issues came back to haunt her during the quarter-final match against Qinwen Zheng.
LATEST SPORTS NEWS:
Earlier this week, she suffered a gruelling second-round loss at Eastbourne and will be back on court less than a week later.
"I had one day off after Eastbourne, which is not much time. I think, like, right now I'm just happy to be at Wimbledon. I think that is a great kind of motivation to just keep going, and yeah, deal with everything else afterwards," she said.
"It's just been managing [my back], as I've said the last few weeks. I wouldn't say it's 100 per cent, but a lot of the time with tennis players, nothing is ever 100 per cent. So just taking it as it comes."
Raducanu will be looking to bounce back after her Eastbourne loss, however, it will remain to be seen how much the back issues will play a part in her time at the All England Club.
