Luke Humphries has lashed out at Sky Sports after booking his place in the last four of the World Grand Prix following a 3-1 victory over Cameron Menzies on Friday.
The darts star, who is ranked No 1 in the world, was too strong for his rival as he took a big step towards yet another major title.
However, while Humphries was delighted to proceed to the semi-finals, the 30-year-old was far from happy with Sky Sports.
The reigning Premier League champion accused the broadcaster of trying to frame him in a negative light, while also suggesting they want him to appear 'moody'.
Speaking to SportsBoom, he said: “I strive for so much. I try my best. I don't ask for the cameras to be on my face every time I've hit a bad shot. They do it on purpose because they want to see me berating myself.
“They want everyone to be like, 'oh, look at him, he's moody again.'
“I don't ask Sky Sports to show my face on the camera every time I have a bad shot, but they do because they know it gets the views.
“I try to stop it, but I'm there to dedicate my whole life on the stage to make sure I'm as good as I can be.

“So yeah, I felt like I was pretty decent for most of the game, to be honest.”
When asked if he'd been frustrated during the match with Menzies, Humphries then doubled down.
"No, definitely not," he said. "I was not frustrated at all.
"I think the doubling in was a little bit annoying. In a couple of moments, it was frustrating.

“I think it gets highlighted because everyone looks at me being the most frustrated player, then I get Sky Sports always putting my face on the camera because they know that I'm the most frustrated player.”
Continuing to defend himself, Humphries insisted that other players' body language can sometimes leave much to be desired.
“I'm not the only frustrated player in the world of darts," he continued.
"There's so many players out there that show their emotion. It kind of feels like they only show my emotion. They don't realise that everyone feels emotion.
“But how many majors have I won? It's never affected me. It's not stopped me from winning.
"It's just I'm there trying to gee myself up. ‘Come on, that's not good enough. You need to be better.’ And it is never affected me in my performances.”
Meanwhile, Humphries also admitted he was hoping to face Luke Littler in the final of the competition.
Littler came from behind to stun Gerwyn Price, with the 18-year-old on the verge of yet more silverware.

Luke Humphries hopes to face Luke Littler in the final of the World Grand Prix
| PAAnd Humphries knows that a showdown between himself and his teenage rival is what the fans - most of them at least - want to see.
"There's a lot of good games in the world of darts nowadays, but I still think that me and Luke [Little] is the biggest game in world darts," he enthused.
"I know you see us all the time, but if we keep making the latter stages then we're going to keep playing each other.
"It [Littler vs Price] was a great game.
"It probably wasn't the best standard of what they're capable of, but it was just a good game. Sometime, averages don't make the best game.
"I think Luke would be really, really thrilled. They got through that one and Gezzy [Gerwyn Price] will be disappointed, but that's what Luke does. That's what I do. We find a way to win and hopefully maybe you'll see us here on Sunday."
