Fallon Sherrock has announced her intention to take a break from professional darts next year in order to prioritise her health.
The 30-year-old has been struggling with health issues in recent months that have significantly impacted her ability to practice and compete.
"All I want to do is practice at home for a couple of hours a day, and I can't do that at the moment," Sherrock admitted in a recent interview with Online Darts.
"I've had to pull out of some exhibitions recently as well, because I haven't had the stamina."

However, Sherrock remains determined to qualify for both the Grand Slam of Darts and the PDC World Darts Championship later this year before stepping away from competition.
"My main objective this year is obviously the Worlds. But I want to try and get to the Grand Slam this year, because I feel like if I am going to have a year out next year, I want to make a bang," she explained.

"I'm going to try and get to everything, then even if I'm not playing to my 100 per cent, at least I can say that I made it."
Sherrock made global headlines at the 2020 PDC World Darts Championship, where she became the first woman to defeat a man on the Alexandra Palace stage.
After dispatching Ted Evetts in the opening round, she then went on to stun Mensur Suljovic in the second, before eventually bowing out in the third round to Chris Dobey.

Her trailblazing performance earned her the nickname 'The Queen of the Palace', invitations to several World Series of Darts events, and worldwide renown as one of the biggest names in the entire sport of darts.
However, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic brought much of that momentum to a halt, as a number of international tournaments were cancelled or postponed.

The health problems have severely limited Sherrock's recent participation in tournaments.
"I really wanted to play in the Women's Week at Modus, but I wasn't able to do the whole week of that. So I've had to narrow down what I'm playing in now, and that hurts because I love darts," she said.

Despite her current struggles, Sherrock remains optimistic about her future return to the sport.
"Fingers crossed though, that in a couple of years time I'll be alright and I'll be back to winning really well," she added.
"I just need to sort myself out," Sherrock concludes. "I need to get myself well again and then once I do, the sky is the limit because I know I can do it."
