Max Verstappen has taken to social media to comment on his contact with George Russell during the Spanish Grand Prix.
The pair collided with three laps to go in Sunday’s race, which became a major talking point as Russell insisted it was intentional.
Verstappen was instructed to let Russell through at turn five, in doing so Max seemed to deliberately hit the Mercedes in a controversial moment.
The stewards gave Verstappen a 10-second penalty for the incident, dropping him from fifth to 10th.
He was also given two points on his super license, putting him one point away from an automatic race ban.
When Russell spoke to the media after the race, he said the move “felt deliberate” and was “totally unnecessary.”

The Red Bull driver took to Instagram today to debrief his race.
"We had an exciting strategy and good race in Barcelona, till the safety car came out," he wrote.
"Our tyre choice to the end and some moves after the safety car restart fuelled my frustration, leading to a move that was not right and shouldn't have happened.
"I always give everything out there for the team and emotions can run high. You win some together, you lose some together. See you in Montreal."
