Drivers across the UK have been backed by falling fuel prices in recent days as costs slowly drop and the price of oil continues to remain stable.
The latest data from the RAC reports that petrol drivers are paying an average of 157.93p, while diesel vehicle owners are forking out 180.92p per litre.
Average prices have fallen almost 2p a litre to 157.93p per litre since peaking on May 28 at 159.53p, with oil dropping below $100 (£74.68) for the last nine days.
While they are still paying far more for their fuel, diesel prices have plummeted by almost 11p in the three weeks since they peaked at 191.54p.
Diesel is now at its lowest price since the end of March, although it is still 27.1 per cent, or 38.5p per litre, more expensive than when the war first started.
Commenting on the falling costs, Simon Williams, RAC head of policy, said: "RAC analysis of wholesale market data shows drivers should expect prices to keep on falling.
"Unleaded ought to come down by another 4p at least, while diesel should drop even further, by possibly as much as 8p."
Drivers who own a standard family car with a 55-litre fuel tank will pay an average of £86.86, while the diesel equivalent is £99.51.

These figures represent a staggering £13.81 and £21.20 per tank hike for petrol and diesel respectively, compared to the start of the conflict in the Middle East.
The Competition and Markets Authority continues to monitor how quickly pump prices fall when wholesale costs are lower.
Mr Williams added: "Its latest report showed retailers hadn't altered their pricing strategies when the price of oil shot up, but it did note margins were still at historically high levels.
"Its latest report only covered the first two months of the war which is important as diesel peaked on the wholesale market in early to mid-April, whereas petrol hit its wholesale high in late May."
As motorists continue to deal with high fuel prices, GB News has rounded up the most expensive petrol and diesel costs around the UK since the start of the month.
