The Ukrainian will be hopeful of coming out on top when the pair meet on February 17

Oleksandr Usyk has confidently claimed he's got into Tyson Fury's head as their blockbuster bout creeps closer.

The two men will face off in Saudi Arabia on February 17 in a contest that's poised to captivate the boxing world.

Fury goes into the fight with a point to prove, having laboured to victory over Francis Ngannou last time out.

Usyk, however, will be confident after winning all 21 of his career fights so far.

It has the makings of a classic, with both men bringing the fighting talk as their showdown creeps closer.

And Usyk, per Sky Sports, has now mocked Fury by saying he's got into his rival's head.

"Firstly, it's not 'if' I win but 'when' I win," the 35-year-old stated.

"When I go to sleep I imagine myself boxing, then my hand raised high. I simply believe that I can win.

"I got into his head and now instead of me, he thinks about a rabbit. Keep thinking, brother."

Fury likes to call Usyk a 'rabbit'.

But that's something that doesn't bother the Ukrainian, who thinks Fury nabbed the insult from rapper Eminem.

"I have listened to Eminem for many years, his mum used to call him a white rabbit," he added.

"I don't know, I like this rapper.

"Tony Bellew once said that I am a beast in boxing, I said: 'Not really, I'm just a white rabbit.'"

While Fury will enter the fight looking to silence his critics, Usyk is merely hoping to make his father proud.

The boxing star's father died in 2012, just days after his son won gold at the London Olympics.

Usyk added: "In my childhood I was asked who I want to be when I grow up, I came home and asked his advice - who should I become when I grow up?

"He said: 'You must become a good person.'

"First of all - you need to become a good and well-behaved person. From there, you can achieve everything else."

Usyk said earlier in the year that he never got the chance to show his late father his gold medal.

That's something that haunts him, and yet fires him up, to this day.

"He watched me become Olympic champion, but I didn't make it back in time to show him the gold medal," Usyk recalled.

"When I arrived he was already lying in the coffin.

"I handed him the medal, put it in his dead hand and then left the room.

"Sometimes he comes to me the day before the fight."

Usyk also revealed he was thinking about his father while he attended Fury's narrow win over Ngannou.

"When I was standing among these superstars - I spoke to Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, all these stars - I was thinking about my dad and I thanked him," he added.

"I knew he was watching down on me."
