The heavyweights are reportedly set to fight in the fourth quarter of the year

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are set to finally meet in the ring, with Britain's two heavyweight rivals signing a deal.

Saudi boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh said on X: "To my friends in Great Britain - it's happening. It's signed."

Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn has since confirmed the plans, indicating that a date has been pencilled in for November for the two British boxers to finally meet.

“Signed, sealed, delivered! AJ v Fury is on!” Hearn said on Instagram. “The biggest piece of business we’ve ever done but more importantly the one we’ve always wanted. Biggest year of AJ’s career coming up, the comeback is on.”

The main problem facing the fight is Joshua coming out unharmed in a warm-up bout against Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga, announced earlier today.

The Briton will fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on July 25.

Prenga stands at six feet, five inches tall, and has won all his 21 professional fights, with 20 via knockout.

The pair were engaged in an odd war of words this month when Fury beat Arslanbek Makhmudov.

After beating Makhmudov, Fury turned to Joshua at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in an awkward standoff.

Fury said: "I challenge you, Anthony Joshua, to fight me next. Do you accept?"

Joshua, who appeared to film lots of the fight on his phone, reluctantly responded: "I punched you up when we were kids, and I'll punch you up again.

"You aren't going to tell me what to do, I've been chasing you for 10 years.

"I'm the boss, you work for me. I'm the landlord. You work for me."

Fury replied: "You [Anthony Joshua] are next. You are getting knocked out. Believe it."

Alalshikh's update coincides with Netflix, which earlier this month posted on social media, saying: "It's happening. Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua. This autumn, from the UK. Live only on Netflix."

There are currently no details about where the fight will take place.

Joshua's upcoming fight will be his first contest since returning to training after a tragic car crash, which saw two of his close friends lose their lives.

Joshua said: "It's not a secret I've taken some time to consolidate and rebuild to be ready for stepping back into the ring, and today is the next step on that journey.

"I'm delighted to have agreed a multi-fight deal starting with July 25 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

"I'm looking forward to competing and picking up where I left off. As I said: 'The landlord will collect his rent. That is certain'."
