The fighters clashed ahead of their fight tonight

Tommy Fury is set to make his boxing comeback tonight after nearly two years away from the ring.

The former Love Island star will face Bosnian fighter Kenan Hanjalic in Budapest.

Fury, younger brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson, hasn't competed since his victory over KSI in Manchester in October 2023.

The relatively short-notice fight had been cordial in build-up until tensions flared during their final face-off following the weigh-in.

The pair went eye-to-eye after successfully weighing in, pushing one another with their foreheads in a tense exchange.

Hanjalic then escalated the confrontation by shoving Fury with both hands.

Despite the provocation, Fury remained composed and didn't retaliate.

He instead calmly told his opponent: "We'll see tomorrow night."

The heated moment marked a significant shift in what had previously been a respectful build-up to the contest.

Fury tipped the scales at 207.46lbs, whilst Hanjalic came in slightly heavier at 210.1lbs.

Footage of the confrontation quickly went viral on social media, drawing mixed reactions from fight fans.

One commented: "A couple of novices trying to make things look interesting. I'll give it a miss."

Another simply stated: "All for a 6 rounder."

The face-off also prompted comments like "Battle of the foreheads" and "What's going on?" from puzzled viewers online.

Fury has prepared meticulously for his return to the ring, getting himself into what he describes as "career-best shape".

LATEST SPORTS NEWS:

The 26-year-old reflected on his condition in a recent Instagram post, writing: "26 years young today. In the thick of a training camp but feeling the best I've felt in a long time."

His last appearance saw him secure a decision victory over KSI in Manchester in October 2023.

That win maintained Fury's undefeated professional record as he now looks to continue his boxing journey.

The Briton was originally scheduled to return to the ring earlier this year against former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till.

The bout was set for January 18 but Fury withdrew just 19 days after it was announced.

His decision to pull out stemmed from concerns over his safety.

These fears reportedly arose after Till jokingly claimed he would "kick" Fury in the head during their contest.

Tonight's fight against Hanjalic represents Fury's first opportunity to compete since that cancelled January matchup.
