Jake Paul called out Anthony Joshua after he secured a comprehensive unanimous decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in California on Saturday night, with the Mexican fighter barely engaging throughout the ten-round contest.
The judges scored the bout 99-91, 97-93 and 98-92 in favour of Paul at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
Chavez Jr, the 39-year-old former middleweight world champion and son of boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez Sr, failed to mount any meaningful offence for large portions of the fight.
The Mexican fighter threw virtually no punches in the opening rounds, maintaining a high guard whilst Paul controlled proceedings.

Paul, 28, improved his professional record to 12-1 with the victory, having previously defeated 58-year-old Mike Tyson in November.
Following his victory, Paul directed expletives at the hostile crowd before calling out several high-profile fighters.
"Y'all can shut the f*** up. I just beat your boys' a**!"
The influencer-turned-boxer named multiple potential opponents across various weight divisions.

"I want tougher fighters. I want to be world champion. Zurdo looked slow as s*** tonight, that'd be easy work too," Paul said, referring to WBA and WBO cruiserweight champion Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez, who competed on the same card.
"Badou Jack, I want everybody. Anthony Joshua, Gervonta (Davis) and Tommy, stop running."
Paul specifically challenged Tommy Fury, who handed him his sole professional defeat in 2023, whilst also naming former heavyweight champion Joshua and lightweight world champion Davis.
Paul dominated the contest with his jab and body shots, while Chavez Jr remained largely inactive behind a defensive guard.

According to CompuBox statistics, Chavez Jr landed just 61 punches across the entire ten rounds, with 40 of those coming in the final three rounds.
Paul said: "It was flawless. I think I only got hit 10 times. He's been in with [Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez] and all those guys, and I embarrassed him like that. Easy work."
The atmosphere inside the venue turned increasingly hostile as Chavez Jr's lack of engagement became apparent.
Julio Cesar Chavez Sr appeared visibly distressed at the ringside, throwing his hands in the air and desperately urging his son to fight back.

The legendary former champion looked "deflated and irate" as his son became "a sitting duck" in the ring, according to ringside observers.
Jeers rained down from the sold-out crowd as Chavez Jr "stared vacantly into the distance" between rounds, ignoring his corner's pleas to "let his hands go".
Paul responded to the hostile reception by cupping his ears towards the audience, saying: "All the boos are words, but actions speak louder than words."
The crowd's frustration peaked as Chavez Jr continued his passive approach throughout the middle rounds.
Both the WBC and WBA are expected to rank Paul in their top 15 at cruiserweight following his victory, potentially opening the door to world title opportunities.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman had indicated before the fight that Paul could be considered for a ranking if he defeated Chavez Jr.
Under WBC rules, a fighter must be ranked within the top 15 to qualify for a world title shot.
Paul's promotional partner Nakisa Bidarian said: "How do you not rank Jake Paul after that performance? Where he totally neutralised a much more experienced and more accomplished fighter than himself."
For context, British champion Viddal Riley currently ranks 15th with the WBC, whilst Team GB Olympian Cheavon Clarke sits at 19th.
