The crash occurred on Monday, shortly after Joshua and his entourage arrived in Nigeria for a holiday, when the group was travelling in a Land Rover towards Sagamu to visit the boxer's relatives.

Joshua had initially positioned himself in the front passenger seat, but the driver requested he move to the rear because his large frame was obstructing the wing mirror.

The vehicle subsequently collided with a stationary lorry on what has been described as Nigeria's most dangerous road, killing both Ghami and Ayodele while Joshua was hospitalised with minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, 47-year-old Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, appeared before Sagamu High Court on Friday wearing a black Muslim kaftan.
He entered not guilty pleas to four charges, including causing death by dangerous driving, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care and attention, and operating a vehicle without a valid licence.

Kayode, who had been employed as Joshua's driver for over three years, was granted bail set at 5million Naira, approximately £2,580.
Outside the courthouse, Kayode's son spoke in his father's defence.
Ifeoluwa Adeniyi, 19, said: "Dad is not a fast driver, he was following the speed limit and then the brakes failed, he said he was pushing the pedal but nothing was happening."

Kayode's trial has been scheduled for January 20.
