Alex Scott has been bombarded with messages on Instagram after showing behind the scenes pictures of Children in Need.

The former football star shared snaps of herself wearing a black dress that showed off her shoulders.

Scott pouted in one image and shared images taken from the BBC Children in Need show from Friday night.

Another snap showed her reading from a script inside a changing room, while she playfully poked her tongue out for the camera in a video.

Fans on social media have now lavished praise on Scott, with one saying: "You look STUN."

A second said: "So gorgeous."

A third praised Scott by saying: "You look so pretty."

Another stated: "Amazing evening and you looked absolutely incredible."

And a fifth said: "Wowwww Alex always looking fabulous in your outfits."

The show on Friday night has raised £33,513,325, which is down on last year's total of just over £35million.

One of the highlights included Vernon Kaye's ULTRA UltraMarathon feat, which raised over £5m.

This year's show also saw BBC Children in Need work with The One Show, Morning Live and BBC Radio 2 to raise money for charity.

Jermaine Jenas, Roman Kemp and Alex Jones were also among the presenters to work on the show.

Simon Antrobus, Chief Executive at BBC Children in Need, praised the event by saying: “The overwhelming kindness and generosity shown this evening – especially when things are incredibly hard for so many – is remarkable.

"I want to thank the UK for once again showing children and young people that we are here for them.

"To each and every person that gave so generously this evening, thank you.”

Scott recently opted for a daring see-through dress at the GQ Men of the Year awards.

She posed for pictures with England's Lionesses stars Mary Earps, Leah Williamson and Chloe Kelly.

There was woke controversy at that event, however, with Kim Kardashian winning an award for 'man of the year' - despite being a woman.
