The Gypsy King's upcoming fight with Oleksandr Usyk was confirmed last week

Carl Froch has labelled Tyson Fury 'not manly' and 'embarrassing' for the way he behaved during his press conference last week.

The boxing star confirmed his bout with Oleksandr Usyk at a special event in London.

Fury was aggressive throughout, however, and labelled his rival 'ugly' and 'a p***y' as tempers boiled over.

The Gypsy King loves trash-talking and Usyk, to his credit, didn't stoop to his opponent's level.

Yet Froch, speaking on talkSPORT, has now taken aim at Fury and criticised the way he behaved - insisting he 'got bored listening to him'.

The 46-year-old, who retired back in 2015, said: “I think it’s old hat.

"When he starts with the name-calling and personal insults on physical appearances I just think it’s not manly.

"It’s funny at the start … it’s probably why he struggles to get sponsorship let’s be honest.

"It’s a hard sell for a company when he’s got the mouth he’s got. The potty mouth.

“When I watched it the other day, I’ve got to be honest, I’m bored of listening to him.

"He’s embarrassing himself.

"I thought Oleksandr Usyk was pure class … He came out of this looking very good and Tyson Fury is now the bad guy that everybody wants to lose.

"I’m not talking about myself, I’m talking about the feedback and the comments you read.”

Froch continued his attack, while also condemning the behaviour of Fury's father, John.

“Him and his dad, I think it’s embarrassing … You’re representing your sport, yourself, your county and another country in Saudi Arabia – they must be looking at this thinking what is going off," he added.

"Is this really how they conduct business?

"There’s often needle in fights but there’s always a line we don’t cross, and Tyson Fury time and time again crosses that line.

“I don’t talk to anybody who wants Tyson Fury to win this fight.

"He’s turned everybody against him.”

Fury, meanwhile, feels he's the only man capable of stopping Usyk from dominating the sport.

The Ukrainian has already beaten Anthony Joshua twice and has won all 21 of his career fights so far.

Fury is also unbeaten from 35 bouts, with a draw against Deontay Wilder in 2018 the only blemish on his record.

And the Gypsy King, speaking last week, said: "There's only me who stands in the way of him and total domination of Europe.

"He's beaten all of the British guys - Chisora, Joshua, Dubois - and there's only me.

"I'm the dauntless in his waters, let's just say that. They've got to pull out the long-range guns and we'll see.

"If he beats me, which he can't, there will be nothing which stands in his way of total domination.

"[He can't beat me] because I'm 'The Gypsy King' - that's enough."

Fury and Usyk had been originally due to step into the ring on December 23.

However, the Briton needed more time to recover after his recent victory over Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia.
