Princess Anne's daughter and her husband tied the knot in 2011

Zara and Mike Tindall are essential for a "fun family vibe" among the Royal Family, a PR expert has claimed.

Princess Anne's daughter and her husband, who tied the knot in 2011, do not carry out engagemrents on behalf of the Royal Family.

The Princess Royal did not give her children royal titles at birth, meaning that they could embark on their careers of choice as they grew older.

Zara, 42, is a professional equestrian, having won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

In addition, Mike represented England in the Rugby World Cup in 2003, which is how he met Zara during her gap year in Australia.

Because of their non-working-royal status, Zara and Mike can "speak more freely", a PR expert has claimed.

Andy Barr spoke exclusively to GB News to explain how the Tindalls are important for the Royal Family's more "positive" reputation.

He said: "The Royal Family is being complemented by the likes of the Tindalls.

"The Tindall family are close enough to the Royal Family to know what goes on behind the scenes, but distant enough to be able to speak more freely.

"Every public interaction that the Royal Family have with the Tindalls results in positive headlines.

"This is because of the fun family vibe that Zara, Mike and their children give off."

The couple live on Princess Anne's Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire.

They have three children, Mia, nine, Lena, five, and Lucas, two.

Mike and Zara often attend royal events like Princess Kate's Together At Christmas carol concert, and King Charles's Coronation in May earlier this year.

But they also occasionally dabble in the celebrity world, with the former rugby star partaking in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2022.
