Royal fans were in awe of Zara's surprise appearance

Zara Tindall has sparked a fan frenzy due to her "down-to-earth" personality displayed during a public engagement alongside Princess Anne.

The 44-year-old joined her mother, the Princess Royal, at the Annual Conference at the Royal Geographical Society in London on November 21.

The mother and daughter duo were filmed leaving the building once the event had concluded, and fans were mesmerised by Zara's "down-to-earth" gesture.

The wife of rugby legend Mike Tindall appeared to be placing a piece of food inside her mouth as she followed Princess Anne towards the car.

She then spoke briefly to an usher, who advised her to walk around to the other side of the vehicle.

Zara proceeded to run slightly as she made her way to the passenger door on the car's left-hand side.

Royal fans were in awe of Zara's appearance, especially as she is not often seen on royal engagements with Princess Anne.

One wrote on X: "Zara Tindall is her mother’s daughter through and through."

Someone else commented: "That's brilliant. Zara just shows she is an ordinary person."

A fan wrote: "Love how Zara skips around the car to get in quick and be ready to roll."

"Love these two. Zara is such a character, brilliant horse woman too, like her mum and gran," quipped another.

A social media user noted: "She is a doll.. I wish she and Mike were working royals."

Princess Anne, 75, attended the event in her role as President of World Horse Welfare.

Meanwhile, Zara is an Olympic-winning equestrian, having struck silver at the London 2012 Games.

During the conference, Zara explained how travelling with a horse post-Brexit has resulted in several complications.

She said: "If we're talking about legislation and how we have gone back in time, sort of post Brexit, our travel time for horses and their welfare has definitely gone downhill."
