Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh attended Wimbledon today accompanied by Annabelle Galletley, who serves as both her private secretary and lady-in-waiting.

The pair were seated in the Royal Box at Centre Court alongside King Frederik of Denmark.

Galletley, who works for the Duchess at Bagshot Park, has been a long-standing member of the Edinburgh household.

She has accompanied Sophie to the tennis championships on previous occasions, with photographs showing them together at Wimbledon dating back to 2013.

Other notable attendees in the Royal Box included Carole and Michael Middleton, Roger Federer and his wife Mirka, and Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester.

Galletley's connection to the royal household spans nearly four decades, having worked for Prince Edward since 1986. Her dual role encompasses both administrative duties as private secretary and ceremonial responsibilities as lady-in-waiting.

The Edinburghs have resided at Bagshot Park since their marriage in 1999, where Galletley continues to serve the household. Her professional relationship with the family predates Sophie's entry into the royal family by more than a decade.

Her regular presence at high-profile events with the Duchess demonstrates the trusted position she holds within the Edinburgh household, combining both professional expertise and personal support in her longstanding role.

King Frederik of Denmark made his second consecutive appearance at Wimbledon, having attended the tournament on Sunday before joining the Royal Box on Monday. The Danish monarch had previously watched Britain's Cameron Norrie compete against Chile's Nicolas Jarry on Court No. 1 the day before.

His Wimbledon attendance follows recent royal engagements, including a celebration with Queen Mary and the Swedish monarchs, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, marking the 25th anniversary of the Øresund Bridge.

The event, held outside Copenhagen last week, commemorated the structure that connects Denmark and Sweden across the Øresund Strait.

Denmark entered the tournament with four competitors, with three remaining as of Monday.

The Danish royal couple are set to begin their summer holiday later this month, with Amalienborg Palace announcing their move to a castle in South Jutland.

The region, located near the German border, will host the king and queen for their annual break.

They will be joined by Frederik's mother, Queen Margrethe, and his aunt, Princess Benedikte, for the family gathering. The Wimbledon appearance represents one of Frederik's final official engagements before the summer recess.

Clara Tauson, ranked 22nd globally, faced a significant challenge as the second Danish women's singles player to reach Wimbledon's fourth round.
