The former Duchess of York intends to remain in Britain, with arrangements currently being finalised for her next chapter

Sarah Ferguson has no intention of retreating from public view despite facing heightened attention in the wake of the Epstein files becoming public, according to a source.

"Well, she won't be hiding away," the insider stated about the former Duchess of York, noting that such behaviour would be out of character for her.

The source explained that Ferguson requires breathing room at present, as her and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s links to Jeffrey Epstein have plagued her existence for half a decade.

"She has been in the middle of it all and it has undermined her resilience," the source told the Mail, describing how the situation left her unable to focus on anything else.

The former Duchess of York has left Royal Lodge, the residence she has lived in with her former husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, for the past 17 years.

According to sources, putting distance between herself and Andrew will allow Ferguson to become "reputationally freer."

She intends to remain in Britain, with arrangements currently being finalised for her next chapter.

Ms Ferguson has reportedly identified a property in Windsor as her future home, viewing it as the location where she can "rebuild her life" and "start again."

It comes as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have decided to separate themselves publicly from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson but support their parents privately, according to a source.

Despite the devastating fallout from emails exchanged between their parents and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Beatrice and Eugenie have chosen to maintain their support, insiders claim.

The sisters are remaining "loyal to their parents in private while separating themselves in public" following the damaging revelations contained within the Epstein Files.

Their family unit remains intact but under significant pressure, according to insiders.

One source told the Mail: “The Yorks are just about holding it together as a family, but this has put new strains on their relationships.

They added: “The last I heard, the daughters were still supporting both parents behind the scenes."

The insider said regarding Beatrice and Eugenie: "They are aghast at what they have read. They are mortified by the emails their mother has sent to Epstein. It is so embarrassing for them."

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has always denied the allegations against him and appearing in the Epstein files is not evidence of any wrongdoing. Inclusion in the documents does not implicate anyone in Epstein's criminality.
