"I have never been more touched by a friends kindness than your compliment to me in front of my girls.
"Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for."
Ms Ferguson also appears to describe the paedophile as "a legend", adding "I am so proud of you" in separate emails sent in November of that year.
More than three million documents have been published by the US Department of Justice, with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche saying there have been "extensive redactions" to the files.

Other documents allegedly show Ms Ferguson inviting Epstein to Andrew's 50th birthday party at St James's Palace in February 2010.
The email said: "Beatrice, Eugenie and I would love to invite you to celebrate the 50 years of Papa/Andrew.
"It will be on February 26th 2010, from 7.30pm for Drinks and for 8.30pm for Dinner, at St. James's Palace, London.
"It will be suits and cocktail dresses, and you know me, mysterious mischief. So bring your presents. Your presence and your humour!"

Epstein appeared to reply "not able" after being chased for a response.
Ms Ferguson's alleged emails are not evidence of any wrongdoing, and their inclusion in the files does not implicate anyone in Epstein's criminality.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor appears to have been pictured on all fours over a woman in a separate document of the Epstein files.
A man, believed to be the former Duke of York, looks at the camera while a woman, whose face is redacted, lies on her back between his arms.

The individual, thought to be Andrew, is barefoot, wearing jeans, a white polo shirt, and a silver watch.
Another person is shown in the background with their bare feet resting against a table while sitting on a leopard chair.
Andrew has consistently denied all accusations against him and any appearance in the files does not suggest wrongdoing.
