Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sarah's ex-husband, has previously come under fire for his connections to China

A children's book by Sarah Ferguson, which was pulled from sale by its publisher, is controlled by a Chinese government-owned corporation.

The title, Flora & Fern: Kindness along the Way, was withdrawn by New Frontier Publishing ahead of its scheduled release date.

NielsenIQ Book Data confirmed the withdrawal, whilst the publisher has erased all mentions of Sarah from its website.

Her book was initially scheduled for release on October 9 but was postponed to November 20 following these revelations. The publisher ultimately decided to cancel the release entirely.

The book agreement between Fergie and New Frontier was originally revealed in July of the previous year.

Both the publisher and Sarah have declined to comment on the cancelled publication.

As reported by the Observer, the publishing house belongs to Zhejiang Publishing United Group, an entity operating under the Zhejiang provincial government in south-eastern China.

The Chinese state company acquired New Frontier Publishing for $2million (£1.5million) in 2015.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sarah's ex-husband, has previously come under fire for his connections to China, although he has moved to close several of these commercial ventures.

For example, he applied to shut down the international division of his Pitch@Palace start-up competition programme.

The Chinese branch of this initiative was established by Yang Tengbo, whose authorities suspected of working for a Chinese state operation aimed at cultivating influential individuals to advance China's global agenda.

Andrew, 65, has held meetings on at least three occasions with Cai Qi, who serves as President Xi Jinping's chief of staff.

Cai Qi was reportedly the intended recipient of intelligence in an espionage case involving two British nationals that fell apart in September.

Since the removal of Andrew's royal titles by the King, Fergie, 66, has been prohibited from using the title "Duchess of York".

Both she and Andrew lost their titles as a result of the Jeffrey Epstein controversy.

Sarah's personal downfall came after details emerged about her 2011 correspondence with the convicted paedophile.

In the letter, she referred to him as her "supreme friend", contradicting her public denunciation of him.

Fergie is reportedly devastated by these developments, according to those close to her.

Sources express worry about her wellbeing and describe her as having brought these troubles upon herself, citing her history of excessive spending.

"She's never been good with money," one friend revealed. "What is she going to do? Where's she going to go?"
