Royal fans flooded the comment section with messages backing Beatrice

A royal fan who attended the Sandringham Christmas Day walk in 2025 said she was “so glad” Princess Beatrice came out to greet well-wishers as the princess walked to church with the Royal Family.

The supporter, Karen Anvil, posted a video on TikTok showing Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi encountering members of the public outside St Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate.

In the clip, Princess Beatrice appeared to mouth: “That’s very kind, thank you!”

Ms Anvil wrote alongside the post: “SO GLAD she came! Look at her hands, she was so anxious. She is extremely underrated. Wonderful royal!”

In the comment section, she added: “God she was brave, really anxious. I clocked her fingers and called out.

“I told her she looked beautiful and was glad she came, I meant it. She is a really lovely woman and her husband is always so nice.

“Everyone was so happy her and her sister came, regardless of whether you want to believe that or not. There were no boo’s or inappropriate comments.”

Royal fans then flooded the comments with messages backing Beatrice, including one who wrote: “Why should they be blamed for the actions of their father?!”

Another said: “She’s not at fault for the sins of her father! Princess Beatrice and Eugenie are beautiful women with giant hearts.”

A third added: “She’s soooo lovely. Great asset to the Royal Family.”

Princess Beatrice’s appearance at Sandringham this year came amid an unusually intense focus on her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was absent from the walk.

Andrew did not attend the Christmas Day service and was not seen with the family in public at Sandringham, having been photographed alone in Windsor.

Beatrice and Princess Eugenie arrived without him after he was stripped of his royal titles.

Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, were seen walking directly behind King Charles and Queen Camilla to church, with Mr Mapelli Mozzi and Beatrice a tad further behind.

The Christmas Day walk drew large crowds who cheered the royals.

Andrew’s absence was linked to the controversy around his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, and newly emerging information connected to the Epstein files.

That context is notable when weighing Ms Anvil’s interpretation that Beatrice looked anxious. The video has no audio and shows only a brief moment, so it cannot prove how Beatrice was feeling.

What is verifiable is that Beatrice was walking and greeting well-wishers during a highly photographed public event, at a time when her father’s situation and his exclusion from Christmas events were dominating coverage.

For Beatrice, that combination of factors could reasonably make the Sandringham walk more pressurised than in some previous years, even if the crowd itself was supportive in the moment.

Ms Anvil’s account insists the reception was positive, writing that there were “no boo’s or inappropriate comments” and claiming many were happy to see both Beatrice and Eugenie.
