King Charles and Prince William are preparing for separate transatlantic trips in 2026 as part of efforts to strengthen the UK's ties with President Trump, according to new claims.
Discussions are thought to be at an advanced stage, with sources indicating it is "highly likely" that the King will travel to the United States in April.
Such a visit would mark the first by a reigning British monarch in nearly two decades, following Queen Elizabeth's 2007 trip at the invitation of President George W Bush.
Prince William is anticipated to cross the Atlantic later in the year when America co-hosts the football World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico.

"Yet that same King was among the first to recognise that old scores must be settled and differences reconciled."
She added: "The United States was born in bitter conflict with Britain, but we didn't remain enemies for long."
