A Palace insider has rubbished claims that Princess Kate and Prince William have been left unsettled by mounting anger from Windsor residents over an extensive security perimeter established around their new home.
A barrier stretching six miles now surrounds their Forest Lodge property, featuring fencing fitted with surveillance cameras and warning signs prohibiting entry.

A convenient road that previously cut through the park has been permanently shut, forcing those living nearby to travel significantly longer distances for routine journeys.
Horse riders have also raised objections to limitations placed on their riding routes, though they have reportedly refrained from lodging formal complaints due to their dependence on the Crown Estate for access permits to the 4,800-acre park.
Those most directly affected say there have been "zero" attempts by Palace officials to engage with them or address the growing controversy.
A source told the Mail that the furious reaction has left the Prince and Princess of Wales "alarmed" but this has been disputed by a Palace insider.
Neighbours have expressed feeling "ambushed" into accepting the new arrangements without prior consultation or warning.

One resident who has walked dogs in the area for twenty years described the practical challenges created by the new arrangements. "They say you can use other gates but you can't because there's nowhere to park.
“We've lived here for 20 years, it's lovely in there. We appreciate they need privacy, but it's a real shame. We are absolutely gutted," they told The Mail.
Another local described the security provisions as "excessive," adding: "It's a blow, but they aren't going to change their minds."
The restrictions have also undermined a £60 annual access scheme that allowed residents living within a mile of the park to enter areas normally closed to the public.

One neighbour who had benefited from this arrangement lamented the absence of any acknowledgement from the royal household: "It would have been decent of them to send a bottle of wine or something to apologise."
Forest Lodge itself is an impressive eight-bedroom property featuring a ballroom, tennis court, ornate cornicing, Venetian windows, marble fireplaces and vaulted ceilings.
