They visited at the invitation of former owner Sebastian de Ferranti, an electronics company chairman who maintained a close friendship with the late Duke of Edinburgh.
Dating back to 1860, the property sits within 2.5 acres of formal grounds and features impressive architectural details, including a sweeping staircase, grand hall and neo-classical portico.
The substantial residence also includes an ornate indoor swimming pool and garage space for four vehicles.

Pickford, who reportedly earns £150,000 per week at Everton, first met Megan Davison during their school days.
