The Royal Family have marked a significant personal milestone for a war veteran during the same week he was given an MBE by the Princess Royal.
Geoffrey Roberts, who survived a prisoner-of-war camp during the Second World War, turned 100 years old on Saturday.
"Happy Birthday to veteran Geoffrey Roberts, who turned 100 today!" The Royal Family’s official social media account wrote.
"Earlier this week, Geoff received an MBE from The Princess Royal for his charity work and services to the commemoration of the Battle of Arnhem," the post informed.

The post was accompanied by posts of the veteran shaking hands with Anne while receiving the honour.
Adding further context, the Royal Family's message continued: "Geoff was part of Operation Market Garden, an Allied military operation carried out during the Second World War.
"During his time at war, he was sent to a Prisoner of War camp where he was put to work in a coal mine until the war ended.
"Last year, to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem, The Princess Royal and Geoff took part in commemorations to remember those who died during the Battle," it concluded.
Anne awarded the veteran an MBE earlier in the week.

Also featured in the carousel was an image of Anne and Roberts meeting during the Battle of Arnhem commemoration.
It marked 80 years since the onset of the Allied Operation Market Garden.
The Princess Royal attended the event in the Netherlands last year alongside her husband Vice Admiral Timothy.
Anne was representing King Charles, who could not attend as he was scaling back his royal duties at the time due to his cancer treatment.
Anne previously met Roberts as she represented King Charles at last year's Battle of Arnhem commemoration.

She delivered a speech on her older brother's behalf, which paid tribute to the "heroism and sacrifice made by so many in the pursuit of peace".
Saturday's post comes as Princess Anne is preparing to appear alongside King Charles and other senior royals for a tour.
The Royal Family will undertake their annual Scottish tour from July 1 to July 4, with members staying at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
Their four-day visit commences on Tuesday with the traditional Ceremony of the Keys in the palace gardens.

This centuries-old ritual marks the official beginning of Royal Week in Scotland.
The ceremony involves the Lord Provost presenting the Keys to the City of Edinburgh to the monarch, who then returns them for safekeeping.
Later on Tuesday, the King and Queen Camilla will be accompanied by Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence for a Garden Party at the palace.
The Princess Royal was also recently in Scotland to take part in the Royal Highland Show. However, she soon became part of a humorous scene when her tour of the grounds came across a pair of sleeping farmers.
