Princess Amalia of the Netherlands remains in hospital following successful surgery for a broken arm sustained in a horse riding accident.
The 21-year-old heir to the Dutch throne underwent an operation at UMC Utrecht on Tuesday for a fracture to her upper arm.
The Dutch royal Palace confirmed on Wednesday that the Princess of Orange would stay in hospital for continued monitoring.
"The surgery went well," the Palace said in a statement. "She will remain in the UMC Utrecht for monitoring until tomorrow."

The incident has disrupted the Dutch Royal Family's schedule, with several engagements affected by the princess's hospitalisation.
A summer photo session scheduled for Thursday at the Paleis Huis ten Bosch has been postponed until 30 June due to the princess's recovery needs.
Queen Máxima has cancelled her planned appearance at the CGAP congress in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening. King Willem-Alexander will attend the opening of the Holland Festival alone, proceeding without his wife.
The Palace revealed earlier this week that Princess Amalia had fallen from her horse, resulting in the arm fracture that required surgical intervention. The princess's equestrian activities are a longstanding interest, with official Palace photographs showing her riding her horse, Mojito.
The incident echoes a similar horse-related injury suffered by Princess Anne last year. The Princess Royal, 74, was hospitalised in June 2024 with a concussion believed to have been caused by an impact with a horse at her Gatcombe Park estate.
Speaking about the accident during a visit to South Africa in January, Princess Anne revealed she could not remember "a single thing" about the incident.
"It just reminds you, shows you — you never quite know, something [happens] and you might not recover," she said, according to the BBC.
The Princess Royal, who competed in equestrian events at the 1976 Olympics, added that the experience taught her that "every day is a bonus."

"You're jolly lucky...if you can continue to be more or less compos mentis, and last summer I was very close to not being. Take each day as it comes, they say," Princess Anne reflected on her experience.
The British royal is expected to join her family at Trooping the Colour on Saturday, where she is anticipated to ride on horseback alongside Prince William and Prince Edward.
Princess Amalia's current hospitalisation serves as a reminder of the inherent risks in equestrian pursuits, even for experienced riders.
The Dutch princess's recovery timeline remains unclear, though the Palace's statement suggests she will be discharged on Thursday.
