The Queen has attend the National Harvest Festival Service at Westminster Abbey on World Food Day.
The service gave thanks to farmers, in recognition of their vital contribution to the nation.
The festival was organised by Love British Food in partnership with food distribution charities including Trussell Trust, City Harvest, The Felix Project, and The Coronation Food Project.
The event brought together 2,000 representatives from across the food, farming, food redistribution, and food bank sectors.

The Order of Service included a message from King Charles.
During the Service, there were readings by actor Charles Dance, broadcaster Matt Baker and the Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage.
Mr Armitage read his poem ‘Bread of Heaven’ which was composed specially for the service.
The President of the National Farmers Union led an Offertory Procession with children from John Perryn Primary School in Ealing carrying harvest boxes they had designed for the service.
Queen Camilla met representatives from the food distribution charities and hear about their work to tackle food poverty.

The royal also viewed a floral and fresh food displays outside Westminster Abbey.

The displays feature a vintage tractor, barrows and carts, food poverty distribution vans and crates of British produce.
The food from these displays will be collected following the service and donated to the Abbey Centre, Tachbrook Youth & Social Club, King George’s Hostel and the Mary Smith Pantry.

Every year since it was inaugurated, the Queen has sent a message of support to the service.
