The King did not attend the meeting at Clarence House with the Queen as he continues to receive cancer treatment and step back from public-facing duties.
The First Lady revealed that Camilla had told her King Charles was receiving lots of supportive messages from Ukrainians, in a touching exchange.
Zelenska said: “It was very good to hear that many Ukrainians wrote support towards His Majesty because of his health.
"It’s very good to know that we have very sincere and powerful friends here in the Royal Family.”
The King has spoken out about the war in Ukraine commenting on the “indescribable aggression” faced by Ukrainians during an “unprovoked attack on their land.”
During an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Zelenska spoke of the similar expectations that the First Lady shares with the Queen.
According to the Sun, Zelenska said: “It would be difficult to compare our activities, but there are expectations from the public and you feel that, and you have to rise to those expectations.
“And in this sense, I guess, there’s an affinity.”
