Princess Lilibet, Prince Archie and Prince Harry are absent from Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series.

Season two of the Duchess of Sussex's Netflix lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, drops on Netflix today, but viewers hoping to see Prince Harry or the couple’s two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will be left disappointed.

Across all eight episodes, the Duke of Sussex and the children make no appearances, with Meghan instead placing herself at the centre of the series.

The new instalment features crafts, cooking, and celebrity guests. Early on, Meghan shared that Archie and Lilibet “really want a cat” and described her son as “tender” and “sweet”.

She also recalled that the longest time she and Harry ever spent apart from the children was nearly three weeks.

“I was not well,” she admitted, hinting that this coincided with the period following Queen Elizabeth II’s death, when Meghan and Harry returned to the UK.

Yet despite these insights, the children did not appear on screen, nor did Harry, who was only referenced in anecdotes and photographs.

This marked a stark contrast with the first series of With Love, Meghan, where the Duke of Sussex made a cameo appearance in the final episode, joining the Duchess and her friends to enjoy her cooking.

In addition, Netflix’s 2022 Harry & Meghan docuseries saw the Duke and Duchess invite cameras into their home life with Archie and Lilibet.

Meanwhile, season two of With Love, Meghan kept the focus solely on the Duchess of Sussex, with episodes built around activities such as flower arranging, bookbinding, soap making, pottery, and cooking.

Meghan was joined by an array of guests, including Tan France, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend and Jay Shetty.

At one point, she joked about her children’s breakfast habits, telling Mr France that Archie often praises her presentation with the words: “Oh, momma, that looks beautiful!”

The series also promoted products from Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever. Her “flower sprinkles” feature repeatedly, with a QR code flashing up on screen directing viewers to “For Recipes and More” – a nod to the brand’s online shop.

While Harry was absent, Meghan did share anecdotes about their life together. She recalled their third date in Botswana, when they camped for five days, saying: “You really get to know somebody when you’re in a little tent together.” She added that Harry told her he loved her before she said it back.

There were glimpses of the couple’s past through archive photos from their wedding and anniversary celebrations, but present-day appearances from Harry were missing.

A still image of the couple, alongside their wedding chef, Clare Smith, stood out as one of the few on-screen moments linking Meghan to her husband.
