Princess Eugenie has paid tribute to her “big sissy” Princess Beatrice, marking her 37th birthday with a heartfelt message and a carousel of previously unseen images.
Sharing a post to Instagram, Eugenie, 35, wrote: “Happy happy birthday to my dearest Beabea… my big sissy, the best in the entire world.”
The post was accompanied by five personal snapshots of the two sisters together, capturing their close bond and shared sense of humour.

The third photo offered a light-hearted moment of the pair enjoying paninis together. A fourth image featured a selfie of the sisters with their mother, Sarah Ferguson, during their April visit to the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at University College Hospital.
The trio were photographed smiling during their charitable outing, highlighting the family’s ongoing support for cancer patients.
The final photo in the post was a close-up of Eugenie and Beatrice together at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show. The sisters, both known for their interest in the natural world, were seen smiling warmly, dressed for the summer occasion.

Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, responded to the post with five red heart emojis.
Earlier in the day, he had shared his own loving tribute to Beatrice, calling her his “beautiful wife” and signing off with the initials “E, W, S, A” — for himself, their two daughters Sienna and Athena, and his son Wolfie from a previous relationship.
Eugenie’s birthday message marks the third public acknowledgement from a family member, following the Duchess of York and Edoardo.
At the time of writing, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace have not posted a message on Beatrice’s birthday, which is typical given her status as a non-working royal.

However, Eugenie’s tribute reinforces the strong personal connection the sisters have long been known for.
The pair have often spoken about their closeness, and regularly support one another at public engagements and in private life.
Their mother, Fergie, also marked the occasion with an emotional Instagram post.
Sharing a video of herself and Beatrice hugging at a Youth Impact Council event, she wrote: “There’s nothing quite like holding you in my arms and feeling the incredible bond we’ve shared since the day you were born.”
Beatrice turned 37 on Thursday, August 8, and is currently believed to be celebrating the day privately with her family.
