Princess Beatrice is celebrating her 37th birthday amid the media storm over Andrew Lownie's new book

Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will step in to provide her with "support and comfort," a veteran royal commentator has said.

The Princess of York is celebrating her 37th birthday amid new bombshell claims made against her parents in an upcoming royal biography.

The allegations were made in an upcoming book from Andrew Lownie purporting to unearth new information about Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

The storm surrounding the book has left Beatrice "desperately worried about both of her parents," royal commentator Jennie Bond has suggested.

The expert believed Edoardo would sense his wife’s distress and sweep in to help her enjoy what should be a time for celebration, given her birthday.

"I imagine that her husband will try very hard to take Beatrice‘s mind off all that’s happened as well. Perhaps a quiet dinner out, or a cozy celebration at home.

"Either way, he knows it’s his job to support and comfort his wife on a day that should be full of happiness but will inevitably be tinged with sadness after another week of graphic headlines," Bond expressed.

The commentator believed that Beatrice’s children, three-year-old Sienna and baby Athena, would join forces with her stepson, Wolfie, and Edoardo to support the Princess.

"If they get together today there really is nothing like tiny children to take your mind off things," Bond told The Mirror.

The former BBC royal correspondent felt that: "An afternoon full of fun and laughter — or even toddler tantrums — can be a fabulous distraction!"

Even with the huge attention being drawn to the new book, Bond felt that Beatrice would be able to come to terms with the situation.

"As any mum with three young children will know, life is hectic," she explained.

"I doubt that Beatrice has much time to sit and moan about the devastating claims made against her father in the new biography.

"By now, she has probably come to terms with the fact that Andrew should never have done the disastrous Newsnight interview which directly led to his downfall, and she should not have been with him or supported his decision to speak out," Bond stated.

Beatrice's 37th birthday was special one, as it was her first celebration alongside her youngest daughter, Athena - who was born in January.

To mark her special day, Edoardo posted a loving tribute to Instagram alongside a glamorous photograph of Beatrice taken at Royal Ascot in 2023.

He captioned the image: "Happy Birthday to my BEAUTIFUL wife. You are the greatest. We love you so much. E,W,S,A xxxx."

The affectionate sign-off represented Edoardo himself, his son Christopher Woolf (known as Wolfie), and the two daughters he shares with Beatrice.

Edoardo's sweet inclusion of Wolfie in the birthday message was a touching nod to the close bond Beatrice has formed with her stepson, whom she has helped raise since marrying Edoardo in 2020.

His sign-off style appears to be inspired by the Prince and Princess of Wales, who often sign their social media posts with initials as a personal touch.
