Princess Anne has been commended for her deep concern "about the state of Britain," despite her royal role outside the traditional political process.
The praise comes as the Princess Royal prepares to celebrate her 75th birthday on Friday, August 15.
Anne has retained her undisputed title as the hardest-working royal and shows no signs of wavering, including in her support of important causes.

"Obviously, as a royal, she's not a political figure, but her soft support for us is very inspiring for us as an organisation and for our collaborators and partners," the charity boss said.
Malik emphasised her commitment to understanding contemporary difficulties facing the nation, The Mirror reported.
"You can see that she cares about the state of Britain and the state of the world," he added, noting particular concern for children facing adversity.
The Princess Royal's involvement with Save the Children spans 55 years, beginning when she assumed the presidency in 1970 at age 20 in her inaugural charitable position.

She later became the patron in 2017, succeeding her mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Malik explained that Anne has encountered scores of supporters and contributed to securing tens of millions in funding throughout her association with the organisation.
The Princess Royal's dedication extends to frequent visits to Save the Children initiatives across Britain, where one in three children experience relative poverty.
She has also travelled extensively to nations including Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Mozambique, Ethiopia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina for the cause.

"She's one of our chief supporters, and it's great to have somebody like that you know who will keep nudging you forward," Malik noted.
Rather than reducing her commitments as she approaches 75, the Princess Royal has steadily expanded her responsibilities.
Tanya Curry, chief executive of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, where Anne has served as patron since 2008, observed that Anne has "probably done a lot more for us actually, and the kind of stamina that she brings to that, mentally and physically, is amazing".
She added: "She's working incredibly hard, and she positions the royal family in such a great way that people really understand and really can see the work that she's doing."

The Princess maintains patronages with over 300 charitable organisations while consistently undertaking more annual engagements than other working royals.
Michael Baker, chief executive of the Riding for the Disabled Association, where Anne has served since 1971, praised her determination to attend their national championships as her first public appearance following hospitalisation in June 2024.
"She wanted to be there and come what may she was going to be with us, and that was so powerful because it was clearly a determined effort to be there as the first visit back," he said.
Baker highlighted the Princess's ability to ease tensions with humour. "She's the first person to put everyone at ease with a quick one-liner or something that really gets to the heart of something," he noted, describing her "great wicked wit."
