Princess Beatrice attended a VIP Spotify event after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were brutally branded "f***ing grifters".

The Princess of York, 35, attended an industry event at Spotify's London office, where she hosted a discussion about the future of technology.

Beatrice appears to be building a working relationship with the company, despite the streaming platform sensationally axing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex last year.

Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, were named "f***ing grifters" by Spotify's Head of Podcast Innovation and Monetisation, Bill Simmons, after producing just 12 episodes.

The couple had previously landed an £18million multi-year deal with the streaming company.

Teasing he has more insights on the couple, Simmons added: "I've got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It's one of my best stories."

Princess Beatrice was joined at last week's VIP event by former Warner Bros Discovery boss Priya Dogra and Sakshi Chhabra Mittal, the founder of science-based meal delivery service Foodhak.

The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson is well-versed in the technological world.

Since 2017, she has been Vice-President of Partnerships and Strategy at US software and data firm Afiniti.

She is also the director of a company called BY-EQ, which she set up in 2022 under her work name, Beatrice York.

This was also the name she used during her school days at St George's School in Ascot.

Last year Harry and Meghan's Spotify contract, signed in 2020 after they moved to the US, was cancelled following one season of Meghan's Archetypes podcast.

The podcast left executives underwhelmed and the Sussexes reportedly failed to meet "productivity benchmarks".

Addressing the end of the deal, United Talent Agency CEO Jeremy Zimmer said: "Turns out Meghan Markle was not a great audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent."

Meghan is now focused on her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which she launched in March.

Last week, the mother-of-two launched the first product, sending jars of homemade strawberry jam to influencers.
