Princess Anne "screamed" after a comedian spilt hot tea on her legs, according to a comedian.
Daniel Foxx disclosed the embarrassing encounter with Princess Anne, which occurred during his university days.
He revealed on Mel Giedroyc's "Where There's a Will There's a Wake" podcast about how he accidentally scalded the Princess Royal with boiling tea.
The incident occurred whilst Foxx was working as a waiter at what he believes was a Woodland Trust function. Speaking on the podcast, he confessed: "I burned Princess Anne once."

The comedian explained that he was carrying a pot of hot tea at the "very fancy event" when his clumsiness led to a painful mishap for the King's sister.
According to Foxx, he "span too quickly" and poured "truly, scaldingly boiling hot tea all down the back of Princess Anne's bare legs".
The royal's reaction was immediate and dramatic. "She leapt into the air, screamed, turned around," Foxx recounted, describing her response as a "blood-curdling scream".
The comedian suggested the Princess may have even sworn during the incident, telling Giedroyc that "maybe a swear came out".

The shocking moment drew the attention of everyone at the charity function. "Obviously, everyone in this function, I think it was the Woodland Trust or something, turned to stare at me," Foxx recalled.
The mortified comedian apologised profusely, saying "I'm so sorry", but found an unexpected saviour when another guest mistakenly believed he had caused the accident.
"Thankfully, a man thought he had knocked me - he hadn't - but he took the blame," Foxx revealed. The man attempted to minimise the incident by explaining it was "just water".
Princess Anne's response demonstrated her characteristic understatement. According to Foxx, she replied: "Yes, well, it was rather warm."
Daniel Foxx admitted that someone else took responsibility for the mistake.
