The celebratory post comes after a busy week for the royal couple

The Prince and Princess of Wales have released a previously unseen photo as the couple celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Prince William and Catherine were photographed by Josh Shinner at the Waleses country home, Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

The black and white photo was simply captioned with “Happy Valentine’s Day!”

The weekend celebrations mark a low-key end to what was a busy week for the future King and Queen.

The Princess of Wales travelled to Castle Hill Academy in New Addington, Croydon, as part of Children's Mental Health Week 2026 celebrations.

Catherine, who serves as Patron of Place2Be, the UK charity behind the annual awareness week since 2015, has consistently advocated for nurturing children's emotional wellbeing from the earliest stages of life.

The Croydon school has maintained a partnership with Place2Be spanning many years, integrating mental health support into everyday school activities through its Whole School Approach, which equips pupils and their families with tools for emotional resilience.

Catherine commenced her visit by exploring the school's Early Years outdoor play area, a facility made possible through funding from Deloitte, which participates in The Royal Foundation Business Task Force for Early Childhood.

The outdoor space has been constructed according to Place2Be's therapeutic guidelines, creating an environment that fosters emotional self-regulation alongside sensory discovery and imaginative play.

During her time at the academy, the Princess engaged with pupils, their parents, teaching staff and Place2Be practitioners to observe how the school community was participating in the awareness week.

She heard firsthand accounts of how building trusting relationships, along with creative activities and play, enables children to express their feelings and develop greater self-assurance.

The Prince of Wales, on the other hand, was taking on the most important trip of his career as he was in Saudi Arabia for a three-day visit.

During his time, he received a private tour of At-Turaif.

William was met by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salam bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the entrance of the World Heritage Site.

The site is considered to be one of the largest integrated mud-brick cities in the world.

It is home to the At-Turaif Mosque, the largest in the district, built by Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad bin Saud in 1765.

He also visited AIUIa, a 7,000-year-old archaeological site that is being developed as a world-class heritage destination.
