Prince William is lined up for "big changes" in his reign after "King Charles faced so many terrible things", a source has claimed.
King Charles, 77, became monarch in 2022 after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
He was later crowned at a Coronation on May 6, 2023 alongside his wife, Queen Camilla.
During the King's reign, two senior royals have undergone cancer treatment, while Princess Anne suffered a concussion after a blow to the head from a horse.

The era has also witnessed the continued fallout from Megxit, which included a tell-all book by Prince Harry, a Netflix docuseries and several interviews by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
One royal source claimed: “The King has had to face so many terrible things: Harry and Meghan leaving, his cancer, the Princess of Wales’s cancer.”
However, they added that the tide could change under the Prince of Wales.
“The big changes will come with William,” the source continued to tell The i Paper.

Last October, William confirmed to Canadian actor Eugene Levy in a television chat: “Change is on my agenda.”
One former royal aide described the monarchy as like a jar of Marmite, explaining: “You look at the label and you think it hasn’t changed at all over the decades, but in fact it has changed subtly many times.”

It is understood that Prince William intends for Forest Lodge to become Monarchy HQ under his reign, instead of Buckingham Palace.
Reports have indicated that the Prince of Wales finds the Palace unsuitable for modern family life.
It comes as the Royal Mews, which manages transport for the Royal Family, is moving from Buckingham Palace to Windsor.
