Prince William had to watch on while Sir Keir Starmer sat next to the future King's schoolboy crush during Wednesday’s State Banquet.
The prince played a crucial role alongside the Princess of Wales as they welcomed the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender at Heathrow Airport on earlier in the day.
At the State Banquet later in the evening, the Prime Minister took a seat next to Claudia Schiffer, William’s boyhood crush.
Speaking in a 2017 documentary, “Diana, Our Mother,” the Prince of Wales revealed he came home from school one day to find three supermodels waiting to meet him: Ms Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, and Christy Turlington.

The prince divulged: “I was probably a 12 or 13-year-old boy who had posters of them on his wall and I went bright red and didn't quite know what to say and sort of fumbled and pretty much fell down the stairs on the way out.”
Ms Schiffer was seen at the banquet alongside numerous famous faces, including Motsi Mabuse, Hans Zimmer and Axel Scheffler, who illustrated The Gruffalo.
The banquet menu included an open tartlet of hot-smoked trout with langoustines, quail eggs, and shellfish sauce followed by Windsor partridge supreme wrapped in puff pastry with confit cabbage and swede with an assortment of winter vegetables.
Guests were treated to a dessert of baked alaska with blackberry, vanilla, and raspberry ice creams, with coffee and petit fours to follow.
Before eating, the King delivered a lengthy speech praising the united front between Britain and Germany and affirming their shared commitment to strengthening Europe’s defences against further Russian aggression.
He told guests: “The United Kingdom and Germany together stand with Ukraine and bolster Europe against the threat of further Russian aggression.”
