Princess Kate and Prince William joined the wider Royal Family in celebrating Princess Anne’s 75th birthday on Friday.
On their official social media accounts, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a new portrait of the Princess Royal with the message: "Wishing Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal a very Happy 75th Birthday!"
The image, released earlier this week by Buckingham Palace, was taken by photographer John Swannell at Gatcombe Park, Anne’s private Gloucestershire estate.
Swannell is a familiar figure to the family, having captured portraits of the Princess Royal for her milestone birthdays at 40, 50, 60 and 70.

He was also personally commissioned by Princess Diana in 1994 to photograph her with William and Harry.
Anne’s birthday comes amid reports that she has occasionally been “annoyed” with William for not taking on more royal duties, such as investitures.
However, the Sunday Times also noted that the Princess Royal is “fond of her nephew” and committed to supporting him as his role grows.
Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital: "Even if there is any annoyance, there’s mutual respect as well as affection between Princess Anne and Prince William, as all who know them can confirm.

"Princess Anne remains most supportive of Prince William’s future as King.
"She admires his sense of duty and commitment to the crown as well as his being a good family man rather than so many of his Prince of Wales predecessors who have, throughout history, been notorious for their womanising while awaiting ascending to the throne.
"As Prince William grows into his role, we are likely to see more collaboration for future royal events, particularly at Windsor.
"There is a balance to bear in mind between Prince William’s current greater focus on his family versus the more traditional ceremonial approach Princess Anne has upheld. He is well aware of this."

Anne’s reputation as the hardest-working member of the Royal Family was also highlighted by Buckingham Palace in their own social media post.
One slide read: "Known for having one of the busiest working schedules of any member of the Royal Family, The Princess has established significant and ongoing relationships with numerous charities and organisations across the Commonwealth."
The Palace tribute also shared a series of images, including a tiara portrait of Anne with her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, and a childhood picture of her two children, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall.
Her milestone birthday comes just as the family prepares for their annual summer stay at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
Earlier this week, the estate’s Instagram account confirmed the grounds had been closed to the public, signalling the start of the royals’ seasonal retreat.
