The three children are said 'to be hands-on' with their approach

Prince William and Princess Kate are "very keen to get the children involved in charity work" as Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis kicked off the year supporting local hub, The Baby Bank.

Co-CEO of the charity, Lauren Hall, praised the Prince and Princess of Wales for the way they have introduced the three children to charity work.

Ms Hall said: "They're setting a good example.

"George, Charlotte and Louis are obviously very keen to be hands-on, and I think that exposure from a young age is rounding them as children."

The three youngsters personally selected a series of baby products to donate, which a member of their staff then dropped off at the centre.

In 2023, the Princess of Wales visited the local baby bank with George, Charlotte and Louis, engaging in an hour-long volunteering session that left a meaningful impression on the family.

Ms Hall said the charity is "delighted" that they "popped up" in the royals' minds again.

She explained: "A staff member approached us for a list of items we use on a regular basis, but also ones that we could gift throughout the year.

"We then had the items dropped off to us that the royals had gone out and purchased."

The co-CEO felt grateful that they immediately came to Kate's mind when it came to backing a charity again.

She said: "It's lovely they remembered their visit to us. They were very much engaged on that visit and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. And all donations go a long way, so it's a huge help to us."

She continued: "The Princess's support is so important to us.

"We find nationwide that baby banks in general get a lot more support after a royal visit or a royal donation, and we do get a lot of people reaching out for support as well.

"That regular awareness has definitely elevated baby banks as a charity nationwide, as well as our own personal one. It's a huge help to us, being a local charity."

Kate was the first member of her family to visit The Baby Bank in April 2023, vowing to return with her children.

She returned to the charity in November of that year, and their support remains prevalent today.

The Princess of Wales's gestures come as she made a remarkable return to royal duties in 2025, completing 68 public engagements after announcing her cancer remission 12 months ago.

Kate showed clear signs of recovery, with her workload rising from 13 in 2024 to 68 across 2025.

This represents a 523 per cent increase as she rebuilt her public schedule following her cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment.

The King claimed the title of hardest-working royal in 2025, surpassing his younger sister, Princess Anne, despite receiving weekly cancer treatment throughout the year.
