The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement sending their well wishes

Prince Harry has reached out to William personally after Kate’s cancer diagnosis, royal reporter Sarah Louise-Robertson has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement sending their well wishes to the future Queen after she announced her cancer diagnosis.

Speaking on GB News, Louise-Robertson said the health update could be a turning point in what has been a fraught few years in terms of family relations.

She told Ben Leo and Ellie Costello that it could prompt the family ‘coming together’ as it supports Kate through her cancer battle.

“Harry reached out to his brother last night”, she said.

“There has been some text messages, some exchanges, and the fact that has happened shows that there could now be maybe a thawing and a bit of an olive branch between the two families.

“And I think, wouldn’t it be lovely if Harry could just make that apology?

“This is the time where you have to put all that bad blood behind you and you come together as a family.

“Catherine’s diagnosis has put everything into perspective, the silly things that they were feuding about, it seems so futile.”

Harry and Meghan wished Kate ‘health and healing’ after her cancer diagnosis was announced.

The couple released the short statement a few hours after the princess’s medical development was made public.

The future queen began a course of ‘preventative chemotherapy’ late in February but is said to have a positive mindset for her recovery and is in good spirits, describing herself as “well and getting stronger every day’.

Tensions between Harry and William appeared more rife than ever last week when they refused to appear at the Diana Awards ceremony together.

Harry tuned in via video link from Montecito, by which time William had left the building.

The duke’s allegations against his family appeared unrelenting in the aftermath of Megxit with his Oprah interview, and, in the months following the Queen’s death, his Netflix documentary and memoir Spare.

There were accusations of racism in relation to Archie’s skin tone before he was born – with the remarks in the end alleged to have come from two senior royals – and claims Kensington Palace lied to protect William over reports he allegedly bullied Harry out of the royal family.

The duke also accused William of physically attacking him and throwing him into a dog bowl in a row over Meghan, teasing him about his panic attacks, and, along with Kate, encouraging him to wear a Nazi uniform at a fancy dress party.
