The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will make their first joint appearance on Wednesday since Harry returned from the UK last week.

Harry founded the Invictus Games as a working member of the Royal Family and has continued to champion the sporting event despite stepping down from the monarchy in 2020.

The royal and Meghan Markle produced the series Heart of Invictus as part of their Netflix deal.

The five-episode programme followed the 2022 Invictus Games which were hosted in The Hague.

Prince Harry featured throughout the series but it failed to reach the same heights as the Sussexes' debut Netflix documentary, the self-titled, Harry & Meghan.

It comes as the Duke of Sussex hired a TV executive as the CEO of his first-ever winter edition of Invictus Games.

Scott Moore has forged a reputation for doing big sports deals during his time at CBC, Canada's public broadcaster.

The appointment of Moore may be to secure an alternative TV deal for the 2025 Invictus Games after it failed to gain traction on Netflix.

Nick Ede, a brand expert told the Mail: "Harry's latest move with the hiring of Scott Moore shows that he is one step closer to launching the Games with a big TV deal.

"We have seen lately how Amazon, Netflix and now Disney have secured the rights to big sporting event TV and they know that there is money and also subscriptions up for grabs with the right sports.

"Now that the Invictus Games has expanded to hosting a winter event too it's beginning to shadow both the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games and can become a major television event with the likes of Scott behind it.

"Harry and Meghan have the star power to drive the games and as we know it is Harry's sweet spot and something he is clearly passionate about.

"The documentary he made for Netflix wasn't the hit hoped for but it did do what it needed to do and inform and educate people about the games, their purpose and their importance too."
