Prince Harry’s residency in the USA would be under threat if Donald Trump wins the presidential election in November, according to royal commentator Jennie Bond.
This comes as Prince Harry is facing more controversy over his US immigration records, and whether the details of his drug use should be kept private.
The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, argues that he cannot legally have entered the US because he admitted to taking illegal drugs in his best-selling memoir, Spare.
In a recent interview with ABC's Good Morning America, Prince Harry was questioned on whether he would become a US citizen, after moving to Montecito with wife Meghan Markle in 2020.

The Duke of Sussex told GMA that American citizenship "is a thought that has crossed my mind", but "certainly not something that's a high priority for me right now".
Donald Trump has said Prince Harry will be "on his own" if he is re-elected as President, following what he believes to be "unforgivable disloyalty" by the Duke towards the Royal Family, in particular Queen Elizabeth II.
Reacting to Trump's comments on GB News, royal commentator Jennie Bond says the former US President "has it in" for Harry and Meghan, and his residency in California is "under threat".
Bond told GB News: "Donald Trump, I think most people would accept, is probably quite a vindictive man and he is a law unto himself, and he's made it very clear that he regards Harry and Meghan as being completely on their own if he becomes President."

She continued: "Thus far they've been somewhat protected by the Biden administration.”
"There is a group, a Conservative group who are trying to force the publication of the application that Harry filled in for his visa when he moved to America."

Bond explained: "The rules and laws on drug-taking are quite intense in the US. And the question is, did Harry say, as he did in his book Spare, that he had taken quite a considerable number of drugs, did he say that on his visa application?
"The Biden administration has protected him and said they don't see that this should be published.
"And also, rather remarkably, they don't actually see that, just because Harry said in his book he has taken all these drugs, that it isn't necessarily proof that he did, which is a bit odd really isn't it?"
When asked by Martin if the move by Trump would make Harry and Meghan "more popular" Bond denied it would help their brand, but instead make them be seen as "victims of Trump".

Bond said of the possible removal of the Sussexes from the US: "Trump has made a lot of quite unpleasant noises, saying that he’s on his own, and it's really quite threatening for Harry. It could threaten his residency in the United States."
Asked if that could make Harry and Meghan more popular, she said: "They would be seen as victims of Trump and their liberal credentials would be feted and celebrated as they are already in California, so they could become the new hero and heroine of modern-day politics.
"We will have to wait and see, but Trump has definitely got it in for them."
